Mansfield, TX, June 06, 2010 --(PR.com
)-- Servers are no longer confined to special designated rooms with raised floors according to Kevin Hunt VP of Sales & Marketing for ISC. Blade servers are becoming common in office areas and while creating extra computer power, they are causing other problems such as security, noise and heat.
Many office applications require only 1-3 servers but typical server racks were normally 30U-40U making them to big and unsightly to be used. Users attempted to put the servers on or under a desk but found out quickly that the noise was unbearable and it did not meet new security standards most companies are incorporating. Customers were becoming frustrated at the few options available.
ISC has introduced four new cabinets under the category Low Profile Server Rack Cabinets that address these problems. The four series are LPPKG, TTSWE, TTSC and XRN and will allow most users to find a cabinet that fits their exact application. All series have locks for security and fan options for air flow. Other features are as follows:
LPPKG: 8U, 12U with 29" usable depth
TTSWE: 12U, 18U with 22.5", 28.5" and 34.5" usable depth
TTSC: 3U, 6U, 9U, 12U, 15U with 32" usable depth
XRN: 4U 6U, 12U, 25U with 32" usable depth and special bottom venting and sound proofing
These series have also proven to be very good for POS applications. Hunt says, "I knew there was a demand for these type cabinets but I had no idea they would take off so fast. Thousands have already been delivered in the short time they have available. People have a need for them they just didn't know where to find them until now."
