Are You Wasting Your Searches?

Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, United Kingdom, December 13, 2006 --( There has been a quiet revolution happening this year. 33,000 people have opted to use a new search engine, Everyclick is a new breed of search engine that enables you to search the web and at the same time benefit the charity of your choice for free. The number of people using it is increasing by 40% a month.

To date everyclick’s small and fast growing user base has already generated over £100,000 for charity. The money is a result of users clicking on paid content and viewing adverts that are included within the search page. This money has been generated without any cost to the user or the benefiting charities.

Does this use of search herald a new era where we are also beginning to direct our internet searches to benefit our favorite good cause? It seems a logical progression in a time when we are all becoming ever conscious of recycling our household waste and measuring our carbon footprint.

Research suggests that 40 million people in the UK use a search engine on a daily basis*, 76% of those searches go through Google and who earned a total of $9.4bn from search this year**.’s 33,000 users have each been able to select to support any one of 170,000 charities. With just these users having raised over £100,000, it is clear to see that with mainstream adoption has the potential to raise a phenomenal amount of money for charity.

Polly Gowers, managing director said, “We are all more aware of our social responsibilities these days. We hope to see our new way of searching becoming a mainstream way to search the web, as it has the potential to be an incredibly powerful fundraising tool for any charity.”

Reports suggest that is the UK’s fastest growing search engine and one of the busiest charity websites.
