Three Metrics Scientists to Present at AAPS Annual Meeting

Research reflects thoughtfulness that company scientists put into solving clients’ problems.

Greenville, NC, November 13, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Scientists from Metrics Inc. will present findings from three research projects during the annual meeting of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) in New Orleans. Their research will be shared during poster sessions Nov. 14-18.

While the poster presentations examine very different topics, the research shares a common theme – that Metrics scientists thoughtfully consider and address challenges faced by their clients every day, and then share that information for the greater good of the pharmaceutical industry.

“Through the years, scientists from Metrics have presented more than 30 posters at AAPS,” said Phil Hodges, president. “Advancing the pharmaceutical industry’s knowledge base is something we expect from our scientists – and reflects our good science approach to everyday work and research.”

Scientists presenting posters include:
• Joe Cobb, CPIP, who examined the roller compaction process for capsules.
• Deanna Williamson, who identified a molecule from a bottle label that migrated onto a tablet inside the bottle.
• Anshul Gupte, PhD, who examined low moisture grade fillers that protect from degradation.

Metrics Inc. is one of the most respected contract pharmaceutical research, development and manufacturing companies in the United States today.

Started as an analytical laboratory in 1994, Metrics has evolved into a full-service provider of quality pharmaceutical formulation development; first-time-in-man (FTIM) formulations; clinical material manufacturing (CTM) for Phase I, II and III trials; commercial manufacturing; and analytical method development and validation services.

Metrics has particular expertise in FTIM and Phase I, II, and III studies, having conducted more than 120 FTIM studies for different chemical entities in the last five years alone – while manufacturing more than 700 batches of CTM in the same period.
