Belvidere, IL, January 22, 2007 --(PR.com)-- On Thursday, January 25, 2007 Physicians Immediate Care celebrates the Ribbon Cutting and Business after Hours for the relocation to 1663 Belvidere Road, Belvidere, Illinois. The new location is at the corner of Belvidere Road and Route 20--just across from Walmart.

A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2007, followed by the Business after Hours from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. with food and a tour of the new facility. Belvidere Mayor Fred Brereton and Tom Lassandro Executive Director of Belvidere Chamber of Commerce will be present.

There will be Corporate Relations personnel and Physicians Immediate Care Board physicians available to answer questions regarding extended hours and services during the Ribbon Cutting and Open House.

The new location at 1663 Belvidere Road, adjoining Physical Therapy Plus has easy access, and ample parking. Other services such as ergonomic assessment, body mechanics and injury prevention are also available at Physical Therapy Plus.

Physicians Immediate Care now offers nine convenient walk-in clinic locations and four Physical Therapy Plus locations. All facilities utilize the urgent care electronic medical records (EMR) and practice management software of Practice Velocity. The facilities, also, utilize the consulting and group purchasing services of National Med Network (www.nationalmednetwork.com)

For the public, Physicians Immediate Care offers what is known outside of Illinois as "urgent care," i.e., a walk-in clinic that treats patients for non-life-threatening problems--such as sprains, strains, lacerations, fractures, pink eye, flu, bronchitis and colds. The facility has been inspected and is accredited by the Urgent Care Associatian of America. Physicians Immediate Care was the first facility in Illinois to be inspected and meet the rigorous standards of the Urgent Care Association of America Award of Distinction. Patients with true emergencies should be seen in hospital emergency departments, but the majority of patients, who need timely treatment can be evaluated and treated at Physicians Immediate Care.
