Voice Over Expert Offers Tips on Performing Authentic Dialects


Pat Fraley, a veteran voice over actor and coach, joins Voice Over Experts with his lesson on the critical difference between performing an accent accurately or authentically.

London, Canada, November 14, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Pat Fraley has taught character voice acting for 37 years and his is the only system accredited at the university level. Pat is a member of The Voice and Speech Trainers of America, and holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Professional Acting from Cornell University.

Fraley regularly joins the Voice Over Experts podcast to help educate novice voice talent and working talent who want to enhance their skills as a voice over actor. In his episode “Accuracy VS Authenticity,” Fraley explains that there is an important difference between an accent that is accurate and one that is authentic. A truly authentic dialect has more to it than learning and delivering the words. This episode teaches talent how to quickly go from generic to standard to authentic.
