Small Press Month to be Celebrated Locally

Independent Authors and Small Publishers Are Invited to Share Their Work

St. Louis, MO, March 08, 2007 --( In celebration of March being Small Press Month, independent authors and small publishers have been invited to share their work with the community at an event hosted by the St. Louis County Library and sponsored by IFP Enterprises, the St. Louis County Library and the St. Louis Writers Guild.

The event will feature more than 20 local authors who will each read a brief excerpt from their books, followed by a question and answer session where the audience is invited to ask questions about the publication process, and then a book-signing event with the authors' books available for purchase.

Confirmed authors include Michael Edwards, Adam Steele, Susan O'Leary, Maurice L. Hirsch, Jr., Bruce Raisch, Paul W. Wittmer, Jack Simpson, Rose Jackson-Beavers, Steve Cohen, Martha Ficklen, Nanora Sweet, Donna Biffar, Helen Eisen, Colleen McKee, Mickey Warren, Peter H. Green, Jud Miner, Mary Menke, and John Warren Owen. Becky Ellis of Cherry Pie Press will also participate on behalf of small publishers.

The event will take place on Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at 6:30 p.m. at the St. Louis County Library, Mid-County Branch, which is located at 7821 Maryland Avenue, Clayton, Missouri 63105. The event is free of charge and open to the public.
