New Clark Energy Monitoring Systems Ideal for Solar, Submetering, Energy Transfer Systems

New Model DN-EM BTU/Energy Monitor tracks energy transfer in heating or cooling systems, ½” & ¾” pipe, temperatures to 185°F (85°C).

Hudson, MA, May 20, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Clark Solutions announces the introduction of the Model DN-EM BTU/Energy Monitor. The Model DN-EM BTU/Energy Monitor is designed to measure the thermal energy flow rate and totalized energy consumption in water and water/glycol based heating and cooling applications including HVAC, office buildings, large condominium or apartment developments, solar thermal heating, and geothermal systems. Designed to make it easy to account for energy usage and accurately allocate costs to end users the DN-EM BTU/Energy Monitor is an economical energy flow monitor that calculates the energy passing through a system based on the difference in temperature between a supply and return line, and the mass volume of fluid passing through the system. The volume of fluid is measured by means of a pulse generating Clark vortex flow transmitter. An RTD sensor built into the flowmeter measures temperature at the meter and the remote temperature is measured by means of a precision RTD sensor mounted in a pipe tee.

Model DN-EM BTU/Energy Monitors generate a scaled pulse output which can be configured to report flow rate or energy total. Modbus 485 communications provides an interface with a building automation or monitoring system. DN-EM BTU/Energy Monitors require no special software to set desired communication parameters, which can be configured at the factory, from the user’s Modbus Master, or via stand-alone commissioning from a PC serial port. Free PC-based stand-alone commissioning software is available for download from our website, www.clarksol.com. Model DN-EM BTU/Energy Monitors also feature non-volatile memory that records flow and energy, and reports current values.
