PRSA Award-Winning MAYO Communications Adds Two Nonprofits to Its Roster

Publicity Powerhouse MAYO Communications to perform media relations for Union Station Foundation and Mainly Mozart “Happy 250th Birthday.”

Los Angeles, CA, October 14, 2005 --(PR.com)-- MAYO Communications, a full service award-winning international public relations firm, based in Los Angeles adds two nonprofit organizations to client list for upcoming media relations campaigns.

MAYO will provide media relations for Union Station Foundation, (www.unionstationfoundation.org) which has been sponsoring an annual Thanksgiving Dinner-in-the-Park for more than 30 years, often referred to as the “Biggest Potluck in the Nation.” This event brings a hearty meal and holiday cheer to all who attend, many of whom are homeless, senior citizens, alone at the holidays and families on limited incomes. Faithful supporters bring donated turkeys, hams, side dishes and desserts to the park. Last Thanksgiving, more than 5,000 meals were served, including 150 turkeys and 5,000 pounds of potatoes. MAYO will also help promote Union Station Foundation’s annual Christmas Dinner-in-the-Park, December 25th.

The event brings a hearty meal and holiday cheer to all who attend, many of whom are homeless, senior citizens, alone at the holidays and families on limited incomes. Hundreds of volunteers help service meals and decorate the park for the holiday. Hollywood celebrities will be invited to participate in both events.

Mainly Mozart (www.MainlyMozart.org), a nonprofit in San Diego has team up with MAYO Communications to promote the “Happy 250th Birthday Mozart” campaign in 2006.  Austria, where the genius Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born, and 50 other organizations will be participating and scheduling events in celebration of his legend and music.

Mainly Mozart assembles a chamber orchestra of world-class musicians drawn from major orchestras and institutions of the as the centerpiece of a themed summer festival, celebrating the genius of Mozart.
