Fox Barrel Cidery Reserves, Unfiltered Pure Pear Ciders
Minneapolis, MN, September 30, 2011 --( Smoothed With Organic Honey.

The Fox Barrel Cider Company (Fox Barrel) introduces 2 new unfiltered craft pear ciders to their portfolio in a pair of unique exhilarating, almost culinary flavors; Ginger & Blackcurrant and Rhubarb & Elderberry.

Naturally fermented using 100% pure pear-juice, not from pear-juice concentrate or pear-flavored hard apple cider. No added colorants, sugar, sorbate or benzoate preservatives, and no added malt, spirit, grape or apple-cider alcohols.

“We very much wanted to demonstrate higher levels of complexity and taste intensity in our Fox Barrel portfolio,” said Fox Barrel Head Cider-maker, Bruce Nissen. “We love how the pure pear-wine base carries and enhances the almost traditional flavors and remains deeply refreshing.”

Naturally Supearior

Ginger & Blackcurrant

Pearfect bite. A bold, spicy red-headed pear cider infused with Natural Ginger extract, Blackcurrant juice and organic honey.

ABV: 6.5%
Poured Appearance: Mildly Cloudy
Color: Rich deep rose
Aroma: Soft notes of black currants & delicate pear aromas upfront, followed with a snappy, spicy ginger nose.
Flavor: Rich round berry upfront lending to a crisp snappy ginger mid-palate and a clean, dry finish. Just enough refreshing ginger bite without a heavy burn.

Rhubarb & Elderberry

Pearfectly sharp. A vinous, tart, plum colored pear cider infused with Rhubarb and Elderberry juices and organic honey.

Poured Appearance: Deep haze
Color: Black cherry; raspberry
Aroma: Heavy sweet notes of elderberry & plum
Flavor: A sweet/tart fruit forward flavor balanced with elderberry on the front, rolling into soft pear that complements the rhubarb tartness in the finish, with elderberry still lingering at the back.

“You say you want a revolution. Well, you know, we all want to change the world.

You tell me that it's evolution, well you know, we all want to change the world.”

“Sometimes making cider seems very much like being in The Beatles to me. Cider rocks, and if our classic pear ciders are Paul McCartney, then these unfiltered Cidery Reserves are very Lennon. A little more complex, a little rougher around the edges, but always gorgeous music. We want to change the cider world,” says cider-maker Ryan Aikens.

Cidery Reserve® Small batch, hand-crafted, hard pear cider. Fox Barrel Cidery Reserves use racked unfiltered pear-wine and are smoothed with organic honey. Discerning drinkers will find residual pear-wine sediment in each bottle for a rich full-bodied flavor that’s true to the pear & yeast and good to the last drop. Give a full Bottoms-Up! tilt & swirl to disperse the apple-wine sediment evenly and to ensure an even taste profile through the entire bottle.

The Greatest Cider Adventures

“When we started our cidery we saw ourselves as cider revolutionaries, and we see a cider revolution transforming our industry across the USA, a revolution driven by true American innovation, creativity and quality. And we feel proud to use real American juice from real American farms. Every day. The best is yet to come,” says Bruce Nissen, Crispin COO and Head Cider-maker.
