Burbank, CA, October 12, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Burbank based AlphaDogs Post Production Editors’ Lounge drew an audience of close to 100 editors, assistant editors, and other industry professionals during their September event where the latest in editing software tools and time saving techniques were demonstrated.

Mitch Wood, a Senior Solutions Engineer at Adobe demonstrated Adobe® Premiere® Pro CS5.5 with one of the main highlights of the evening being the Mercury Playback Engine which allows editors to work in real-time mixing and matching key formats such as P2, XDCAM, RED and DSLR cameras freely in the timeline, all without rendering. Wood comments, “Native file support and Mercury real time effects rendering never ceases to wow potential switchers. Clients find it hard to believe they have been working so hard when there was a easier and more effective solution.” Other time saving options demonstrated included the Adobe Media Browser and Dynamic Link.

VP of Sales and Marketing, Don McDonell, showed the full line of Ciphertex portable, hardware-encrypted disk drives and RAID arrays using AES 256-bit key-based encryption. From single 2.5 and 3.5” drives, to 5-drive arrays to 5-drive NAS Server products, the entire Ciphertex line provides infallible protection for data at rest or in transit. “At a time when studios and others in the content market are realizing that all their assets are digital and need to be protected, Ciphertex has created the perfect offering to provide that protection,” says Don McDonell. “Anyone who uses couriers to transport digital assets between locations cannot afford not to encrypt their content to protect it from being stolen by the bad guys. We are a local company that provides users the ability to manage the encryption of their data with incredible ease of use.”
