Davis, CA, April 22, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Artists John Natsoulas, Donna Billick and Professor Diane Ullman talked to ART+ about the upcoming 18th annual California Conference for Advancement of Ceramic Art ( CCACA ). This is the largest Ceramic Conference in North America. It will be held in Davis, CA from April 27-29, 2007 and is organized by the Natsoulas Gallery.

In their discussion, the three artists discussed the importance of collaboration between art, science and the community. They also talked about the new, unique Art, Science Fusion program that is being offered at UCDavis. They addressed the problems of education today and why, they believe, that art education is essential to developing and teaching leadership skills.

They also discussed the new Gateways project at UCDavis which will create portals or gateways into the UCDavis campus; this project emphasizes the important role that public gardens play in education.
