Woodbury, MN, May 06, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Aristotle: The Firefly’s Message is an endearing story about a homeless boy who wanders the streets of Ancient Greece — lost, hungry, and afraid. Then, one fateful night, he comes upon a firefly with a broken wing, and though he has naught to offer him but friendship, the boy takes Aristotle, the firefly, into his care. When the firefly is once again strong enough to fly, he asks to be set free. What will the lonely boy decide to do? And what miraculous happenings await his decision?

Aristotle: The Firefly’s Message is a picture book written in rhyme that sends a timeless message to today’s kids that the kindness they show—to any creature—will be wonderfully repaid in so many ways. The book’s appeal lies in its ability to touch into the sensitive nature of children, who will surely feel for the boy and for the plight of his friend, the firefly.

The author, Elizabeth M. Brown, was born and grew up near the Cathedral in St. Paul, MN. Elizabeth is the mother of five, now grown, children. Elizabeth is a graduate of Century College, White Bear Lake, MN and the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN. She has degrees from both colleges. Although she majored in legal studies, her heart has always been in the creative field. For that reason she took several creative writing classes where she received verbal accolades for her written works from fellow students and instructors.

With much encouragement over the years from her family, Elizabeth decided to offer Aristotle: The Firefly’s Message in book form so it could be shared with a wider audience. Her other children’s stories include Briny: The Spiny Lobster and the soon-to-be-published, Wind Rider, about a frightened little colt. Aristotle II: The Firefly’s Journey will also be forthcoming soon.

Ramona Schuna, Elizabeth Brown’s daughter, brings to visual life the story of Aristotle through her poignant illustrations. Ramona says that the warmth and love of her family served as her inspiration. Though a skilled artist, she credits her education in computer science with helping her to bring this book into physical form. She is a graduate of Century College, White Bear Lake, MN, Northeast Metro Technical College, and attended the University of Minnesota. She has a combined Computer Science Degree from all three colleges.
