B2B Soft and Cycle30 Deploy Advanced Payment Kiosks at GCI Wireless

In-store Kiosks Integrated with Wireless Standard Retail Management Platform at GCI Storefronts Improve Customer Service and Convenience.

New York, NY, March 29, 2012 --(PR.com)-- B2B Soft, a business-to-business software company specializing in retail management for the wireless/cellular retail industry, and Cycle30, provider of hosted order-to-cash billing services, have deployed a new in-store payment kiosk platform at wireless provider GCI.

The in-store payment kiosks at GCI wireless retail locations provide customers added convenience, quick access to bill payment services and an enhanced customer service experience. GCI is one of the nation’s pre-eminent telecommunication providers, offering internet, cable TV, wired and wireless phone services throughout the state of Alaska.

“We’ve gotten great customer feedback in the stores so far,” said Maureen Moore, GCI vice president for consumer services. “We’re very pleased with the B2B Soft payment kiosk and point-of-sale system deployed by Cycle30.”

The kiosks are deployed at six GCI pilot locations today and will roll out to 19 more retail locations shortly. The kiosks are integrated with the Wireless Standard retail management platform currently used at all GCI wireless retail stores. They extend the Wireless Standard Point-Of-Sale system by offering customers a self-service option to pay bills using cash or checks, with the same signature-capture device used in the point-of-sale terminal for credit & debit cards.

“It’s great to see GCI’s retail customers saying things like ‘I like this! I’m going to use this all the time’ and ‘I can't believe how easy it is’,” said Wendy Gonzalez, Cycle30 vice president for products and services. “This will ultimately help GCI deliver even better service to customers.”

The kiosks sport a streamlined, intuitive and GCI-branded interface that’s simple and easy to navigate, helping customers breeze through transactions efficiently. The point-of-sale user interface itself has helped propel the Wireless Standard platform into its place as the industry’s premier retail management platform. Wireless Standard is now deployed in more than 4,500 wireless retail locations throughout North America.

The payment kiosks benefit GCI customers and customer service representatives alike. By using the kiosk, customers can save time at GCI stores and still have all of their payments processed and posted immediately. The total transaction time is significantly reduced, increasing customer satisfaction. Customer service reps can also be more efficient, spending time providing comprehensive customer service for profitable sales transactions instead of taking bill payments. Finally, kiosks help reduce cash drawer discrepancies by reducing cash transactions.

“GCI is providing a higher quality customer experience by making life easier for their customers with the ability to pay any or all of their bills immediately at an automated bill pay kiosk,” says Gary Khabinski, B2B Soft CEO. “We anticipate that the kiosks will make life easier across GCI’s retail operation statewide, by using staff more effectively, reducing customer wait times, and simplifying transactions and reconciliations.”
