Operation Blankets of Love (OBOL) Retains MAYO Communications for National Publicity

OBOL provides aid and comfort to homeless animals in shelters, rescue groups, wildlife and farm sanctuaries. And the 501c nonprofit teaches humane education in schools.

Los Angeles, CA, April 24, 2012 --(PR.com)-- MAYO Communications, a full service LA Based public relations firm is teaming up with Operation Blankets of Love (OBOL) (operationblanketsoflove.com) for a national public relations campaign.

“MAYO Communications was one of the first to announce our passion to provide aid and comfort to homeless animals,” said Founder Eileen Smulson, Operation Blankets of Love. Smulson rescued “Ginger” at a shelter, a three-month old mutt found on the highway. “I saved her and she became my inspiration for OBOL.”

Smulson, who never had a dog before, said she didn’t know what to do.

“We fell in love with each other, and now we save and comfort 2,000 dogs and cats in shelters each month,” she explained. Smulson says OBOL needs a transportation van, clean recycled and new blankets, towels, pet beds, collars, leashes, dog clothes, food and water bowls, grooming supplies, crates carriers and dog igloos.

OBOL also needs storage facilities. The nonprofit 501c is a partner service provider for The American Red Cross.

MAYO Communications will provide national publicity for OBOL activities, including bringing animals to grade school classrooms to teach humane education to promoting OBOL’s participation in animal events like the large Pet Expo at the Orange County fairgrounds (Petexpooc.org/events-attractions) (bldg. #10 booth #1044/1045). (Friday – Sunday), April 20-22).

Earlier this month, MAYO Communications, a strong supporter of cause related events, signed singer, songwriter Kristen Faulconer, LA (Sound Bakery Productions) a nominee for “Best Rock Artist” Reverbnation's Indie Music Channel Awards, on April 27th. She is an abuse survivor, who founded Revolution Against Abuse Group on Facebook.

And most recently, MAYO Communications was retained by new R&B singer and songwriter, Junior Wright of Los Angeles, who just released his debut album, “Come to Me”, and has a new video called, Private Dancer.
