Lodge at Woodcliff Changes Name to Woodcliff Hotel and Spa

Fairport, NY, June 07, 2007 --(PR.com)-- On the eve of its 20th anniversary, the Lodge at Woodcliff, a favorite destination of leisure and business travelers visiting the Rochester, N.Y. region, has adopted a new name: Woodcliff Hotel and Spa. The property has also launched a new interactive Web site at www.woodcliffhotelspa.com.

“Our new name, Woodcliff Hotel and Spa, represents the diverse clientele – from business travelers to upscale leisure guests – that now call our property their home away from home,” says Cynthia Stanley, general manager of the hotel. “In 20 years of serving the traveling public, the hotel has cultivated a reputation for excellence in customer service and amenities, including our full-service spa.”

The redesigned Web site features new flash photography, images of rooms and suites, video and photo tours, and the ability for visitors to book accommodations and amenities online. “Our new site allows guests to book a room online and immediately add an amenity such as champagne or chocolate covered strawberries, or services from our salon and spa,” Stanley says.

The former Lodge at Woodcliff opened in Fairport, N.Y. on May 13, 1987. Built on the highest point in Monroe County, the property offers unparalleled views of the Rochester Skyline, Bristol Hills and is conveniently located near the Finger Lakes region. The property now serves corporate, social and leisure guests seeking proximity to the area’s business and recreational centers, and the peaceful seclusion of the hotel’s hilltop location.

Owned by the Widewaters Group and managed by New Castle Hotels & Resorts, a leading third-party hotel management and development company, Woodcliff Hotel and Spa offers 234 deluxe guestrooms, including 12 distinctive whirlpool suites. The acclaimed Horizons Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and brunch. On-site is a nine-hole regulation golf course, spa, and a large health club with saunas, a whirlpool, an indoor heated pool and an outdoor pool. Meeting and event facilities can accommodate up to 250 guests, and the hotel offers full catering services as well.

Spa Elan offers a full range of spa and salon treatments, including signature treatments like the Shiraz Wrap, Elan Stone Massage and the Elan Wrap. A relaxed, refined atmosphere and elegantly simple, soothing décor reflect the Spa Elan philosophy that well-being and beauty are the natural by-products of a healthy body, mind and soul.

“While our name is new, the customer service, superior amenities and relaxing experience we provide continue at the outstanding levels our guests have come to expect,” says Stanley. “We are confident our renamed property can continue to live up to our motto of ‘Minutes away; worlds apart.’”
