On June 1, The Times-Picayune published the results of its 2012 Readers’ Choice Awards, in which people voted on their favorite bars, restaurants, and entertainment venues in 101 different categories. Being voted the best wedding venue caps off what has already been a remarkable 2012 for Southern Oaks Plantation. This the second consecutive year the business received both a WeddingWire “Bride’s Choice Award” and a “Best of Weddings” pick by The Knot, two of the wedding industry’s most prestigious honors. In addition, the national publication Brides Magazine selected Southern Oaks Plantation as a top venue in its June 2012 issue. The article, “On Location,” features “The people and places you need to know to plan a wedding in New Orleans,” and describes Southern Oaks Plantation as the ideal choice for a majestic Southern wedding.
