TELEGRID Introduces a Simple Network Manager

TELEGRID's SMRT consolidates the web configuration tools of network devices and monitors them for changes or alarms. With no software to install or complicated systems to learn the SMRT is the closest thing possible to plug and play network management.

Livingston, NJ, June 24, 2012 --(PR.com)-- TELEGRID Introduces the Secure Multi-web Remoting Tool (SMRT)

Consolidate Web Configuration Tools
The Secure Multi-web Remoting Tool provides a simple Network Management System that combines the web-based configuration tools of a large number of network devices. The SMRT is a secure reverse web proxy which can automatically monitor any device with a web configuration tool. With no software to install or complicated systems to learn the SMRT is the closest thing possible to plug and play network management. Designed primarily for the KIV-7M data encryptor, the SMRT can monitor any device with a web configuration tool including Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), Satellite Terminals, and Serial to Packet Converters.

More Than Thumbnails
As opposed to simple thumbnails, the SMRT automatically monitors underlying webpages and color-codes the specific icon to represent a device status change (yellow), a lost connection (black) or a device alarm condition (red). Email notifications can be easily added to support remote device monitoring. The SMRT screen can be viewed using any browser including Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, etc. When a user clicks on a device icon, the device's underlying web configuration tool is displayed allowing device management via a familiar graphical user interface.

Providing SNMP Capabilities to Non-SNMP devices
For users with existing Network Management Systems (NMS) the SMRT provides the unique capability of incorporating devices without SNMP engines into their NMS by converting changes in underlying webpages into SNMPv3 traps.
