TouchSystems Introduces New 24" Desktop Touch Monitor

TouchSystems announces new 24" desktop touch monitor integrated with resistive or surface capacitive touch technology.

Hutto, TX, July 19, 2012 --(PR.com)-- TouchSystems is happy to announce its latest product offering: a 24” desktop touch monitor. The monitor can be integrated with either resistive touch technology or surface capacitive touch technology.

Offering the different technologies is important to TouchSystems; the company’s agnosticism in regard to touch results in a variety of touch solutions that meet the needs of multiple markets. For instance, resistive touch is a favorite among hospitals, restaurants, and factories because of its resistance to spills and contaminants. Surface capacitive, on the other hand, is a favored choice for kiosks and industrial controls.

The monitor features an e-IPS LCD panel, a panel that covers almost one hundred percent of the RGB color space and ensures image quality and performance. The screen performs well, too; the widescreen touch display has a resolution of 1920 x 1200, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, and a brightness of 360 cd/m2. Other items of note are the 14-bit 3D programmable lookup tables (LUTs) that help with color correction and color calibration, an ambient light sensor, and a desktop stand or VESA mounting option.

The 24” desktop touch monitors are ideal for web graphics and photography applications; however, the addition of touch expands those applications into other markets. The monitor could be found in a corporate or government office. It also could be used as a check-in kiosk at a doctor’s office or daycare center.

Carol Nordin, president of TouchSystems, couldn’t be happier about the monitor. She says, “While it’s essential to be competitive with touch technologies, it’s equally important to be competitive with the displays themselves. People care about how images look. They like pretty graphics, so we want to provide a solution that offers those ‘pretty’ graphics.”
