New Castle Hotels & Resorts Announces Groundbreakings, Conversion

New Castle Hotels & Resorts has broken ground on a Homewood Suites by Hilton in Virginia Beach, and a Residence Inn in Moncton, New Brunswick. A third property, in Arlington, Mass. will be converted to a Homewood Suites.

Shelton, CT, July 01, 2007 --(PR.com)-- New Castle Hotels & Resorts, a leading hotel development company and third-party manager, has broken ground on a new Homewood Suites by Hilton in Virginia Beach, Va. and a Residence Inn in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, announced Gerald P. Chase, president and chief operating officer of New Castle. A third existing property, located in Arlington, Mass., is undergoing a conversion to a Homewood Suites.

The Homewood Suites by Hilton, Cambridge-Arlington, will be located at 1 Massachusetts Ave., Arlington, Mass. The 100-suite property currently operates as a Hawthorn Suites. The conversion is expected to be complete in the first quarter of 2008. The property will offer a daily complimentary hot breakfast buffet, a “Welcome Home” reception serving light meals and refreshments Monday through Thursday evenings, and free wireless high speed Internet access. Meetings facilities can accommodate groups of 30, with an Executive Boardroom available for intimate gatherings of 10 or fewer. A fitness room and outdoor patio with barbeque grill will also be available.

The new Homewood Suites is just eight miles from Boston Logan International Airport, one mile from Tufts University and two miles from Harvard University. Wyeth and Cambridge Park Drive business complexes are less than five miles away, and the hotel is convenient to popular attractions such as Harvard Square, Faneuil Hall, Fenway Park, and downtown Boston and the theater district.

The Homewood Suites by Hilton, Virginia Beach recently broke ground at 5733 Cleveland Street, Virginia Beach, Va. Expected to be complete in spring 2008, the 123-suite extended stay hotel will feature contemporary décor with vaulted ceilings in public areas, 900 square feet of meeting space, an indoor pool, fitness room, complimentary hot breakfast buffet, manager’s reception Monday through Thursday, and a relaxing outdoor courtyard area.

Nearby attractions include the Virginia Beach Oceanfront Waterpark, Virginia Beach Aquarium and Marine Science Center, Old Coast Guard Station and the Cape Henry Lighthouse. The hotel will be just eight miles from Norfolk International Airport.

A new Residence Inn in Moncton, New Brunswick is under construction. The 120-suite extended stay facility will feature an onsite restaurant, The Keg, leased to an experienced restaurant management company. The hotel will also offer a complimentary hot breakfast buffet, indoor pool, fitness room and parking garage. Located at 576 Main Street, the hotel is convenient to Magnetic Hill, the Magnetic Hill Zoo, Tidal Bore Park, Crystal Palace Amusement Park and Magic Mountain Waterpark and just 40 minutes to the Greater Moncton Airport. The hotel is expected to open in summer 2008.
