About the Author

S. Jay Smith is a fellow in the Explorers Club in New York City and a member of the Cosmos Club in Washington, DC. He has published more than 50 scientific manuscripts about statistics. He has traveled widely throughout Latin America and has been on several expeditions into the Amazon jungle. He is particularly familiar with Peru and is fluent in Spanish.
