Alan Sorum Announces the Launch of a New On-line Alaska Magazine

Information Abut Alaska will focus on articles related to the towns, sights, rivers, wildlife and adventures found in the Great Land. Articles will only concern places and events personally experienced by writers based here in Alaska.

Skagway, AK, July 12, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Alan Sorum proudly announces a new on-line magazine being launched to deliver focused articles and news on things unique to Alaska called Information About Alaska (IAA). Managed by Alan Sorum, the new site is located at infoaboutalaska.com. Articles will be on the towns, sights, rivers, wildlife and adventures found in the Great Land. Articles will only concern places and events personally experienced by writers based here in Alaska.

Alan Sorum resides in Skagway, Alaska, an area rich in the history of the Klondike Gold Rush. Sorum is the immediate past Port Director and Harbormaster of Valdez, Alaska where he worked for the past seven years. Alan has also lived and worked in the ports of Whittier and Wrangell.

Sorum is an alumnus of the University of Alaska Southeast and Fairbanks with advanced degrees in public management and rural development. He is currently an adjunct facility member with the University of Alaska Southeast. Alan writes for Alaska Sea Grant, Pacific Fishing and Suite101. He has made a number of professional presentations in rural development and marine safety.

Alaska is a truly Great Land and its diverse regions would easily form a number separate state or provinces. Alan travels extensively throughout the State for business and pleasure, and shares his knowledge of the land here at IAA.
