Don’t know how to surf? Not a problem, lessons are available to all skill levels ranging from the seasoned expert to the nervous novice In addition to riding the waves you will have the chance to give back to the community and do some valuable and rewarding volunteer work in a variety of areas.

Projects Include:

• Teaching children & Surfing at a surf school in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
• Experience in the tourism industry & Surfing in the Dominican Republic
• Sea Turtle Conservation & Surfing in Costa Rica
• Working at a professional surf shop & Surfing in South Africa
• Teaching English to children & Surfing in Bali

In fact, the volunteer “work” included in these projects really can’t even be considered work by the volunteers. One Participant in the Costa Rican turtle conservation project said, “The best part of the trip was definitely being able to see the turtles come out of their nests and releasing them in to the Pacific. The next best thing was being able to see the mother lay her eggs at 2am. I was amazed.”

i-to-i offers everyone a chance to work and play while on vacation.

The projects offer you ample time to hone and practice your skills and techniques “I worked in the surf shop every day and learned all about the boards and the technical side of surfing and I had the opportunity to surf whenever I wanted. After about 3 weeks I was able to help instruct others, it was really rewarding to be able to put what I’d learned into practice.” Surf Volunteer, South Africa.
