Solamon to Attend SHC Conference in Germany; Exploring New Solar Thermal Income Options

Toronto, Canada, February 07, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Solamon Energy President Jay Yeo is pleased to announce the company will be sending several of its senior executives to the SHC Conference, scheduled by organizers to be held in Germany this September, with its focus on commercial-scale solar thermal, examining both heating and cooling options. Joining Yeo at the conference will be SVP Christian Giles, having visited many Caribbean and Central American nations over the past 18 months meeting leaders in government and business.

"As we have become more entrenched on the ground," explains Yeo, "we've been asked by very knowledgeable people about solar thermal applications specifically for industrial processes, which is outside the realm of our own expertise, but at this conference we'll listen and learn, and based on our experience certainly expect to meet their industry leaders to discuss a few key partnerships."

The IEA Solar Heating & Cooling Programme and the European Solar Thermal Industry Federation are co-hosting the International Conference on Solar Heating and Cooling for Buildings and Industry (SHC 2013), which will be held from September 23-25, 2013 in Freiburg, Germany. According to its promoters, SHC 2013 is the second edition of an on-going series of scientific conferences related to solar heating and cooling.

"We agree solar heating and cooling technologies have the potential to make an immediate impact on our integrated approach and so we're listening with an intent to increase our income streams," Yeo continues. "There are innovations being implemented today that we believe could benefit several of our planned installations and quite possibly offer a competitive advantage. Admittedly, there's a lot to explore, especially when discussing our large-scale projects strategically, but we're careful to pick those conferences given the needs of the markets where we are very active and currently growing."

The SHC 2013 conference offers a unique discussion platform for the international solar thermal community, whereby researchers and technical experts attend alongside marketing specialists and policy makers to present their work and exchange views and ideas, in addition to key technical topics, the conference will also address market and policy issues from an international perspective.

"Of note," Yeo concludes, "the annual International Conference Solar Air-Conditioning also takes place the same week in Bad Krozingen, which apparently is close to Freiburg, and our guys should be able to knock off two birds with one stone."

Solamon Energy typically offers a ground-mounted solar array of integrated photovoltaic cells over a package of land called the Apollo Acre™. The company now also develops custom solutions with local partners to provide roof-mounted and parking lot systems that are easily augmented by micro wind turbine technology and other innovative features to supply renewable energy.

About Solamon: Solamon Energy Corp. sells integrated arrays of ground-mounted and rooftop photovoltaic cells. These solar power plants are connected by cable to varied transmission equipment, including converters, inverters and batteries, utilizing 5 acres of land per unit; each unit is called an Apollo Acre™. Additionally, it is expected the company’s business activities will spin-off many jobs locally, given engineering requirements, construction, unit commissioning and subsequent maintenance.
