About the Author

Donald James Parker is a 1968 graduate of Madison High School in Madison, South Dakota. He completed a Bachelors degree in secondary education from Dakota State University (also in Madison) with majors in English and History and a minor in physical education. He spent several years teaching secondary English and social studies and coaching basketball. He dreams of becoming a writer came true in a manner he never foresaw. Instead of writing the great American novel, he started writing computer programs. Over a 25 year career in data processing, Don has worked for some marquee companies in the Pacific Northwest, where he now resides. He spent 12 years at Frank Russell in Tacoma, author of the Russell 2000 Index found in the financials.. PACCAR, maker of Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks was his home for Almost 8 years. He also spent a short stint at Microsoft as a contractor.
