About the Book (Excerpts & Info)

West Africa holds many little known treasures. Rainforest. Ancient kingdoms. Lowland gorillas. Forest elephants. And from the island of Fernando Po arcing northeastward into Cameroon's interior, a fierce volcanic upheaval long ago produced a fertile mountain range punctuated by peaks soaring up to ten thousand feet or higher in altitude. On the steep slopes of one of those peaks lies the home of Fen: the unique tropical montane forest ecosystem of Mt. Koh. The forest environs are inhabited by a marvelous people group still steeped in ancient Bantu tribal custom, though threatened by a tide of change. To that seemingly timeless place comes an American volunteer, ready to join in the struggle of conserving and protecting the forest, but unprepared for what she finds.

Deftly constructed at 308 pages, Fen: Of the Forest is being aggressively promoted to appropriate markets with a focus on the Literary - General category. With U.S. wholesale distribution through Ingram and Baker & Taylor, and pervasive online availability through Amazon, Barnes & Noble and elsewhere, Fen meets consumer demand through both retail and library markets with a suggested retail price of $15.95.

Additionally, Fen can be ordered by retailers or wholesalers for the maximum trade discount price set by the author in quantities of ten or more from the Outskirts Press wholesale online bookstore at www.www.outskirtspress.com/buybooks
