About Owen B. Mathre, PH.D.
Dr. Mathre has over 55 years experience in the chemicals consulting field. He is President of Chem/Qual Consulting. This is an international business services firm which provides information, consulting services and continuing education training. Dr. Mathre specializes in both quality control and quality systems related to chemicals manufacturing and waste water treatment operations. He obtained his B.A. from Harvard College and his Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Mathre began his career as a Short Course Instructor with the American Chemical Society for 15 years and the Center for Professional Advancement for 7 years. He then spent 37 years with E.I. DuPont De Nemours & Company in chemical consulting. Dr. Mathre is affiliated with the American Chemical Society, A.A.A.S., A.W.W.A. and P.S.A. He holds three patents and has published monographs on choline chloride and choline bitartrate in the U.S. Pharmacopeia. Dr. Mathre was born on November 26, 1929 in Kendall County, Illinois. He has been married to Alice Swenson since 1955 and they have three children. In his spare time, he enjoys photography, gardening and fishing.
