Vaultize Enables Anywhere-Anytime Access Across Firewall to Corporate File Servers and NAS Through Its Enterprise File Sharing

Enterprise File Sharing/Sync and backup vendor Vaultize now supports anytime-anywhere access to files on corporate file servers and NAS from any device across firewall. With this, enterprise IT can leverage the corporate file sharing infrastructure and extend its use as cloud-based file sync/share with complete IT control and visibility.

Mountain View, CA, February 28, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Enterprise file sharing/sync and endpoint backup vendor Vaultize today announced the availability of secure anytime-anywhere access to corporate file servers and NAS beyond firewalls. With this new feature, enterprise IT will be able to extend the use of corporate file sharing infrastructure to cloud-based file sharing and sync – enabling employees to view the files using their laptops and mobile devices, and modify them even while roaming out of the corporate network.

In absence of easy access to corporate file sharing infrastructure from across the firewall, employees are generously using consumer-grade file sharing/sync services to access corporate data while roaming. This way sensitive corporate information is leaking into third-party clouds without the knowledge and control of IT - posing significant security, data loss and compliance risks to enterprises.

Now with Vaultize, enterprise IT can make the data on corporate file servers and NAS available to employees on their laptops and iOS/Android devices just like any cloud-based file sharing/sync. This is in addition to other file sharing options available in Vaultize - real-time collaboration within groups through ‘group-sync’ and easy sharing using web links.

Vaultize’s offering brings together a number of features that businesses otherwise have to acquire separately from multiple vendors, including file sync and sharing, endpoint backup, endpoint encryption and Google Apps backup - all managed from a single administrative console with complete control and visibility.

Vaultize offers flexible deployment options. Customers can choose from Vaultize’s public cloud (hosted in Rackspace), private cloud (hosted with any cloud provider of customer’s choice or on-premise) or ‘Cloud-in-a-box’ appliance.

Through Vaultize’s endpoint encryption, sensitive corporate information remains encrypted on endpoints ensuring protection against unauthorized access and potential data leakage from lost or stolen device. In addition to on-disk protection, Vaultize’s patent pending encryption technology used in file sharing ensures that the data is encrypted before leaving NAS or file server and decrypted only on the receiving device – guaranteeing end-to-end protection.

Vaultize also provides Data Privacy Option (DPO) for enterprises – helping them comply with various data privacy, data residency (also known as data sovereignty) and data protection regulations. DPO is an innovative concept through which Vaultize lets its enterprise customers retain the full control over encryption keys.
