Glendale, AZ, April 23, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Arrowhead Grill is celebrating Cinco de Mayo with a 5-course exploration of authentic Mexican food and cocktails, including a dessert cocktail that counts a $500 bottle of Gran Patrón Burdeos among its ingredients.

In fact, each Cinco de Mayo course will include a cocktail pairing made with at least one of six Patrón Tequilas, including the Gran Patrón Burdeos.

For just $65.99 each, guests will indulge in the rich and diverse flavors of Mexico on Sunday, May 5, beginning at 5 p.m. Seating is limited to 45 guests for this exclusive dining experience.

Artisan Chips and a Salsa Trio, including tomatillo salsa, chipotle salsa and guacamole will be served throughout the evening.

The night will begin with Tacos Al Pastor, grilled beef and pork served with onions, cilantro and pineapple salsa on a soft tortilla and paired with a sweet Mariposa cocktail made with smooth Patrón Silver, San Pellegrino Grapefruit Soda, pampelmousse liqueur, watermelon-mint purée and watermelon garnish.

Guests will delight in the second course a trio of enchiladas, a langostino enchilada, a duck enchilada and a chicken enchilada made with tender, smoked chicken, paired with fruity Jalisco Smash made with Patrón Reposado, strawberries, basil, lime juice, Patrón Citronge and strawberry garnish.

Course three offers guests a taste of life near the ocean, with the Veracruz Red Snapper, a traditional Veracruz-style, braised fillet of Gulf Red Snapper with onions and potatoes and paired with Bramble Pear cocktail made with Patrón Platinum, Prickly Pear Cactus Purée, lemon juice, simple syrup, crushed ice and raspberry garnish.

The final dinner course will be savory achiote and tequila-lime rubbed lamb chops with tomatillo salsa and sautéed hominy, paired with old fashioned Ancho, also known as Mole in a Glass. This authentic, Mexican cocktail is made with Luxardo maraschino cherries, Ancho syrup, Aztech chocolate bitters, Patrón Anejo and a dash of Patrón XO Café.

The final course is an authentic, Mexican dessert, Tres Leches Crème Brûlée, paired with Barrel Room, a dessert cocktail prepared with Gran Patrón Burdeos ($500 per bottle), Royal Combier, coconut and mint leaf.

“This is the perfect way to celebrate Cinco de Mayo, and honor the Battle of Puebla,” said Chef Charles Wade Schwerd, owner of Arrowhead Grill. “We’ll be exploring some of Mexico’s best, authentic recipes and most delicious tequila cocktails in one, amazing evening.”
