Wilmington, DE, April 26, 2013 --(PR.com
)-- Lieutenant Governor Matt Denn recently created the statewide Committee to provide better input from the state’s small business community in the operations of state government. In addition to Stewart, 16 other Committee Members represent a variety of small businesses from all three counties.
According to the Lieutenant Governor’s office, topics for discussion include improvements to the state’s small business loan programs, providing better information to small businesses about requirements of the Affordable Care Act, controlling workers compensation premiums, and state and county regulations. The Committee’s meetings will be publicized and open to the public.
“This is a unique opportunity,” says Stewart. “The Committee is formed from such a diverse group of small business owners that each brings a distinct perspective to the table. The state can only benefit from the combined set of business experiences -- ranging from travel to real estate, from hotel and restaurant management, to builders and pharmaceuticals.”
