)-- FiberStore Co., Ltd. today announced officially 120G CXP active optical cable with CXP-SR10 pluggable optical transceiver modules. The series uses FiberStore integrated self-developed optical engine core device with integrated 12-channel VCSEL Array and PIN Array design, providing a 12-way parallel data channels, each with maximum support 10.5Gb / s transfer rate, the total bandwidth is up to 126Gb / s, Gigabit in multimode (OM3) fiber optic cable transmission distance up to 300 meters. For 12X QDR InfiniBand interconnect scenario, the product also complies with IEEE 802.3ba for 100G Ethernet 100GBase-SR10 requirements.
Due to the 120Gb / s CXP AOC active optical cables' no exposed optical interface, not optical interfaces clean or contamination problems, which make it can be flexibly arranged extensively with the cloud data center computer room. To meet the demand for low cost, 120G active optical cable has no built-in DDM functions (digital diagnostic functions). Typical power consumption at each end of the CXP AOC is less than 2.5W, complying with Class III of CXP protocol standard. The product can be customized according to customer design needed cable length. The 120Gb / s CXP Multimode pluggable optical modules adopt 24-fiber MPO optical interface, built-in DDM function and typically consumes is less than 2.5W. FiberStore also specially produced the 120G BER tester for mass production of these series products.
The launch of 120Gb / s CXP product line further complete FiberStore's data centers and high-performance computing (HPC, High Performance Computing) optical interconnect product line, which is so far the first to achieve commercial production and cost effective 120G high-speed interconnect products. FiberStore with this product is able to enter the first camp of Global Active Optical Cable (AOC).
