Austin, TX, June 29, 2013 --(PR.com
)-- Zephyr Environmental Corporation
(Zephyr), a full-service environmental, health and safety consulting firm, today announced that it was named to the 2013 list of “Best Firms to Work For” by ZweigWhite, a firm that provides management information and expertise to architecture, engineering, planning, and environmental consulting firms worldwide.
President Joe Zupan accepted the award on behalf of Zephyr at the 13th Annual Best Firms to Work For Conference at the Hard Rock Hotel in Chicago last week.
“We are proud of this award, but we will remember not to ‘rest on our laurels’ ─ as a company we must earn our clients’ business and our employees’ respect and dedication every day,” said Zupan. “As we proceed through our twentieth year in business (our 20th anniversary will be in April 2014), I would assess our efforts as still a “work in progress,” but shaping up nicely!”
Zephyr was selected based on a variety of competitive criteria including company culture, employee benefits, support for staff professional development and training, workplace practices, community service, employee recognition, communication, work/life balance, employee retention, firm growth and, of course, an enjoyable work atmosphere.
Over 120 firms participated in this year’s program with the top winners selected in five categories: Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structure Engineering, Environmental, and Multidiscipline.
The winners, hailing from 28 states across the U.S. and as far away as Alaska and Hawaii, were chosen based on an evaluation of data from firm management and confidential surveys sent to nearly 5,700 employees.
