SwingAway Sports Products, Inc. Expands and Relocates Corporate Headquarters and Distribution Center to Kennestone Corners in Marietta, Georgia
Marietta, GA, July 21, 2013 --(PR.com)-- SwingAway Sports Products, Inc. recently executed a new lease for 19,675 square foot of office and warehouse space at 1235-A Kennestone Circle, Marietta, Georgia 30063. The company is experiencing rapid growth and moved from another location in the area upon lease expiration. Bob Misdom, Principal with Cresa Atlanta, advised the company on the relocation of its facilities.

SwingAway Sports Products is a Marietta-based company that has emerged as a leader in developing highly effective game improvement baseball and softball training equipment. SwingAway manufactures and distributes the Number 1 selling hitting training-aid, The SWINGAWAY Bryce Harper MVP Hitting Station. Bryce Harper, the young sensation of the Washington Nationals actively endorses the product. SWINGAWAY's Professional Models are used by most MLB Teams plus top college, high school and travel programs throughout the United States and worldwide.

SwingAway has also opened The SwingAway Training Center and Clubhouse (STC), which is a premier state of the art baseball/softball specific training facility, in this same location. The 14,000 square foot training center includes professional hitting cages, bull pens, fielding and throwing areas, conditioning equipment, indoor track and speed area, plus a pro-style clubhouse bordering the training facility. STC will offer private memberships to serious players as a place to train with other athletes including professional, college and high school players. They will also offer private lessons for hitting, pitching, strength and speed by top-tier experienced instructors.

“We are fortunate that the Kennestone Circle space was vacant and fits all of our needs 'as is' without renovation,” said John J. Flading, President and CEO. “Our current lease was expiring and we really needed space to expand and build our Corporate Headquarters. The East Cobb area is rich with baseball and softball excellence and we needed to stay in close proximity to our market and workforce,” he added.

Bob Misdom, Principal with Cresa Atlanta said, “As the tenant representative, my job on this lease transaction was to put the pieces together quickly, to drive the deal with the landlord, and to negotiate a below market rental rate that was cost effective for SwingAway. We believe the Kennestone Circle location not only satisfies the firm’s current needs, but also provides plenty of room for future growth.”

The owner of the 1235 Kennestone Circle building is LIT/Hodges Industrial Trust, represented by Tom Crowe of Avison Young.
