Powerful Book of Faith Offers Answers to Overcome Obstacles

Atlanta, GA, September 07, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Crossing the Pilgrim Journey is a spiritual guidebook, a labor of love from author Trudy Coiley, created for anyone who suffers from a lack of wisdom in knowing how to handle life’s many dilemmas and moral questions. It offers impacting fictional examples from real-life situations, explains the inherent challenges, and provides commonsense solutions rooted in Scripture.

Crossing the Pilgrim Journey is partly based on Coiley’s personal experiences as well as others she has known. She says that the book will show readers how obstacles can be dealt with successfully when following “God’s divine directions.” At seventy-five years of age, Coiley brings to her book a lifetime of learning and deep faith that translates into thoughtful and righteous communications. She delves into relationship issues between couples, spouses, friends, and children. She also writes about various religious concepts such as sin and what it means to be saved:

“I have heard a couple of respectful ministers who preach the gospel on television say, ‘Once you are saved, you are forever saved.’ Not being disrespectful, I disagree. Throwing out these meaningful words so insensitively leaves much to be desired. We must make every attempt to work out our salvation, even after becoming born again. It doesn’t take work to become saved, for we are saved by faith and by grace, but it does take work to stay saved.”

In Crossing the Pilgrim Journey, Coiley also provides us with a look at her own life growing up Black in the rural South, in the days before and after the Civil Rights Movement. She reveals how she triumphed over a myriad of unfavorable conditions “by keeping the Lord safely by her side on a daily basis.” It is a piece from which no reader will walk away unmoved.
