About the Book (Excerpts & Info)

It’s hard to wait in a line at an amusement park when the ride is whirling by. It’s hard not to go grabbing candy out of the candy bowl before the teacher says its okay. When the waitress sets the dinner plate on the table, it’s hard not to reach for the tasty hot food before it cools. Those are the times when we say to ourselves or someone else Why Wait? I Want It Now! This picture book shows a puppy that feels the same way when she’s hungry. Waiting and obeying are hard for the dog when wonderful things are just at a little paw’s reach.

Deftly constructed at 36 pages, Why Wait? I Want It Now! is being aggressively promoted to appropriate markets with a focus on the Children's Literature - Storytelling category. With U.S. wholesale distribution through Ingram and Baker & Taylor, and pervasive online availability through Amazon, Barnes & Noble and elsewhere, Why Wait? I Want It Now! meets consumer demand through both retail and library markets with a suggested retail price of $18.95.

About the Author

Aliage Monique Taqi is an only child from Chicago, Illinois, who wants to give the gift of tales that awaken the imagination, and cute stories to young readers that create smiles, cause giggles, and bring loved ones close while enjoying them. Sometimes children need to see the actions and behavior of pets to understand how they should act and be. Why Wait? I Want It Now! was written from a pet’s point of view for that reason, to teach a life lesson or Christian value through Buffy’s experiences to children of any culture. Ms. Taqi is happy to share her love of writing with children and families anywhere.

Aliage graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a B.A degree in Journalism. But dreaming up fiction stories is her passion. Aliage was named after a perfume called Aliage by Estee’ Lauder. Aliage’s mother received a letter during her infancy about this name and was told that Aliage means, “coming together” in French.
