About the Author

From the time I was a youngster in the Jewish getto of Newark, N.J. I wanted to be a writer. I lived in the same Weequahic section and went to the same high school as the very famous writer Philip Roth but a few years ahead of him My novel begins in that familiar ground. After serving in WWTwo I enrolled at the U. of Wisconsin where I majored in Journalism. It was here at age nineteen that I started From Adam Cometh, that was and still is the original title. After a concussion ended my very brief football career I transferred to NYU where my major was Radio and Television Writing and Production. Upon graduation I wrote with a retired Irvington, NJ. police chief a series of murder mysteries based on actual cases with a female private eye as my chief protagonist. We got the scripts as far as CBS's top programmer who I believe was Frank Danzig who read the scripts, liked them but said he couldn't use them because the TV audience wasn't ready for a female private eye. Disappointed and disillusioned I became a life insurance agent, got married and put my writing ambitions on the back burner until now at age eighty I rewrote those first ninety pages started away back when and completed my novel. It's about the amazing years of the middle and late 19 hundreds and how the times and a terrible sexual experience affected a young man's life and the fantastic women he loved.
