SecureNet Introduces Cloud-Based Platform for Central Station Monitoring

Hosted software platform increases speed and accuracy of alarm monitoring providers, provides latest technology and guarantees non-obsolescence.

Longwood, FL, October 16, 2013 --(PR.com)-- SecureNet today introduced the SecureNet Platform, the first system to give alarm providers a comprehensive, on-demand management tool delivered as a cloud-based service.

The SecureNet Platform provides all necessary central monitoring station services as a hosted solution, and takes advantage of new technologies to increase the speed and accuracy of alarm responses through streamlining the decision processes of alarm dispatchers and eliminating the errors caused by traditional notes-based dispatching systems.

Due to a lack of resources and the challenging economy, many central monitoring stations find they do not have sufficient manpower, redundancy in the case of emergency or the ability to continue to reduce human error. Keeping pace with necessary technology upgrades can be prohibitively expensive, particularly for small- and medium-sized central stations.

As a cloud-based service, the SecureNet Platform allows central monitoring stations to always enjoy the latest technology without the expense and inconvenience of repetitive upgrading. The platform scales with a station’s needs, providing continuous coverage in case of emergency or other unforeseen circumstances. As with other hosted solutions, using the platform reduces the demands placed on on-site IT staff.

Additionally, for the first time, alarm service providers can now manage customers using a single web portal tied directly into the automation software used by the central monitoring station, allowing for real-time account creation, one-time data entry, fully-integrated billing, and additional back-office benefits.

Created using a mixture of new and existing SecureNet technologies and the worldwide infrastructure supporting the existing global services offered by SecureNet, the platform operates from fifteen locations in multiple countries.

“The SecureNet Platform both simplifies and augments the capabilities of central monitoring stations by allowing for new, rules-based, process-driven decision making,” said Andrew Wilson, chief executive officer of SecureNet. “In times of need, such as a natural disaster or other emergency, the platform can provide unbroken redundancy for all mission-critical monitoring functions, so service providers scale instantly and invisibly to meet the needs of the hour.”

While the platform is available for use with legacy hardware and software systems, it is ideal for use with the SecureNet Interactive Gateway modules—a line of consumer-grade hardware products developed jointly with Resolution Products, Inc. to provide interactive home automation capabilities such as video monitoring, environment control, energy management, and remote control of household appliances and door locks.

The SecureNet Platform is offered as either a traditional on-premise solution or as a hosted service.
