FiberStore Intros High Performance Dispersion Compensation Modules for DWDM Transport Solution

Bellevue, WA, November 01, 2013 --(PR.com)-- FiberStore, a developer of advanced optical components for high-speed optical networks, has introduced a high performance dispersion compensation modules FS-DCM-XXX for use with standard single mode optical fiber (G.652) across the C-Band. The FSDCM provides negative dispersion for dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) transmission systems, when combined with FiberStore transponders and amplifiers, it offers a simple, reliable, and cost-effective DWDM transport solution.

FiberStore dispersion compensation modules are used in optical networks to reduce the accumulated dispersion in optical signals carrying information. The main constituent of these devices is DCF (Dispersion Compensation Fiber) with a negative chromatic dispersion value within the wavelength range between 1525nm and 1565nm. The FS-DCM-XXX dispersion compensation modules is ideal for dispersion compensation applications in single mode fiber long haul and metro communication systems, CATV systems, DWDM and SDH transmission systems, or as an in-line alternative to DCF where size or insertion loss is a concern, say company representatives.

FSDCM is based on reliable PCVD fiber technology, which can greatly improve the performance of the optical transmission system. The module is available with any dispersion value from -10 to -2100 ps/nm at 1550 wavelengths. The DCM module can be located on a 19 inch racks, and a maximum number of 2 units of dispersion comparison fiber can be located in 1U size.
