On Site Energy Provides High-Wattage Heaters for NYC Movie Premiere Event

On Site Energy once again demonstrated its ongoing commitment to the film and special events industry by supplying powerful heating equipment to keep important guests warm and comfortable during a recent high-profile movie premiere event in New York City.

New York, NY, December 30, 2013 --(PR.com)-- On Site Energy continued to demonstrate its commitment to supporting the film and special event industry when it provided generators and heating equipment to warm up a recent major movie premiere event in New York City. The event, which took place at Skylight at Moynihan Station, required enough equipment to keep VIPs warm in a 16,000-square-foot venue for the movie premiere's after party.

It takes a lot of temporary heaters and associated equipment to keep special events warm and toasty during the winter. Event planners have come to rely on the skills and expertise of the team at On Site Energy to handle the logistics of setting up generators, power cables and cable ramps quickly and efficiently. Special event heat generation requires the attention of professionals who know how to disguise equipment from event attendees, such as running cable behind the pipe and drape assemblies.

The team at On Site Energy brought in seven 150 kW heaters, a 500 kW generator, a 1,000 kW generator, and 7,000 feet of power cable to connect them all. They also brought in electric radiant heaters and ADA compliant cable ramps to keep the crowd safe.

Because it was 17 degrees Fahrenheit outside on the night of the event, the coldest night of winter so far in New York City this season, the customer requested four additional electric radiant heaters for the valet parking and red carpet arrival areas. On Site Energy delivered the extra equipment within two hours of the customer's last-minute request, ensuring that the guests remained comfortable during the after party. "It was as hot as the Sahara in here," said the customer.

On Site Energy supplied the NYC Fire Department permits for the event. When the festivities ended, the company's technicians expertly broke down the equipment and removed it from the venue by the 4:00 a.m. curfew.

"On Site Energy has been supporting the film and special event industry with heater rentals, generator rentals and cooling equipment rental services for more than 25 years," said the company's General Manager, Patrick French. "We make it possible to hold events even during inclement weather, which is especially critical for events that are impossible to reschedule."
