Author Says Book of Poetry is an Inspiration from Above

Charlotte, NC, November 01, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Author Mary Lu Inman has created a poetry book that is reflective of a deeply devoted Christian life. It is called Whispers of Love—a collection of verse that is filled with thoughts of faith, gratitude, and praise.

In Whispers of Love, Inman looks at relationships, whether with friends or family members, and sees the blessings inherent in them. Her poetry reflects the strength inherent in one who has a solid foundation in God and Jesus, trusting that They will protect and guide.

Even with the loss of her son Eric to cancer, Inman shows us that there are lessons of understanding and gratitude to be learned in all aspects of our lives. There are also poems within Whispers of Love that speak of greater realizations and personal growth:

“Letting Go”
“Letting go is another way of saying I love you,
It isn’t easy, but it’s something I must do;
Letting go means allowing you to be you and me to be me,
It’s the way God intended for it to be.
“Sometimes I have held on too tight,
Other times I’ve tried to make everything all right;
Sometimes I’ve tried to change the things I thought needed to be,
But now I realize, the one who needs to change the most is me.”
Whispers of Love is a heartfelt book written in praise to God for the miracle of life.

Mary Lu Inman lives in Candler, North Carolina, with her husband, Wesley. She has four sons, but lost one, Eric, to cancer, when he was twenty-eight years of age. She considers the ability to write poetry as a special gift from God, and, she says, it is her desire to use this gift to bless others. Inman has written other poems throughout her life, as well as had an article published in Triumph Through Tragedy, a book by David Wilkerson, the popular founding pastor of the Times Square Church.

“Whispers of Love,” Inman says, “is a collection of inspirational poems that God has given to me over the last 20-plus years. I know they are meant to be shared with others. God’s love knows no boundaries. Whoever you are, wherever you are, God loves you! This, above all else, is the message I hope you get from this book.”

Inman has done volunteer work at a local disaster relief and food ministry for almost 3 years, and has just started a job working with homeless veterans. She is also an active member of her church.
