Spanish Embassy Education Advisor Visits ISA

Scottsdale, AZ, October 31, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The Education Advisor from the Spanish Embassy in the U.S., Antonio Caballero, visited the International School of Arizona (ISA) this morning. Newly appointed, Mr. Caballero is introducing himself to Arizona schools that host certified teachers from Spain as part of the Spanish Education Department’s Visiting Teacher Program. ISA currently has seven teachers from Spain and five others from various Spanish speaking countries around the world.

The school prides itself on offering an ideal environment for students to gain fluency in multiple languages. Starting as early as at age two, ISA students learn from foreign teachers whose native language is Spanish or French. ISA’s full-immersion programs run from preschool to early middle school and produce students that are bilingual, bicultural and biliterate.

To ensure high educational standards in the school’s Spanish track, ISA maintains a partnership with the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports and is also accredited by the Cervantes Institute. “These educational partnerships help ISA with teacher recruitment, training and curriculum,” said Veronique Bevali the school’s Director of Curriculum. “Mr. Caballaro and his office ensure that ISA is offering a world-class educational program by providing access to resources that otherwise would be difficult to coordinate and secure.”

ISA’s relationship with foreign educational entities in Spain resulted in the school receiving permission to become an exclusive Arizona DELE testing center. Individuals (children & adults) and businesses who would like to gauge the proficiency level for themselves or an employee in the Spanish language can do that twice a year at ISA’s main campus located in Scottsdale.
