Robert H. Beckett is President and CEO of Surface Engineering Technologies, LLC. Surface Engineering Technologies manufactures heavy metal iron implantation, cathode arc depositions, and molybdenum disulfide coating. Mr. Beckett earned a Bachelor’s degree and an Honorary Doctorate of Engineering and Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Prior to joining Surface Engineering Technologies, Mr. Beckett worked with Leeds & Northrup as a Sales and Systems Engineer; he was Vice President of Sales at K-Tron, National OEM Sales Manager at Decision Data, Chair and President of Robec Distributors, and President and CEO, Partner and Investor at Tribo Surface Engineering, LLC. Mr. Beckett is the recipient of numerous awards and honors including the Robert Goddard Award, the Herbert Taylor Award, the Pennington Tower Award and the WPI Honorary Doctor of Engineering Award. He is Trustee of the Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a member of WPI Alumni Association. He is on the Pennington Board of Trustees and is a member of the Alden Society. In his leisure time, Mr. Beckett enjoys piloting and building airplanes.
