Heliconia Welcomes New Editor and Office Manager

The Heliconia Press, publisher of best-selling and award-winning instructional books and videos about kayaking and other outdoor pursuits, is pleased to announce their further expansion with the addition of Rebecca Sandiford as Editor and Tamara Cuff as Office Manager.

Beachburg, Canada, December 05, 2007 --(PR.com)-- The Heliconia Press is pleased to announce their further expansion with the addition of Rebecca Sandiford as Editor and Tamara Cuff as Office Manager.

Bringing an editor in-house will allow Heliconia to accelerate their production and promotion of best-selling titles, as well as to increase publicity initiatives. The new office manager will streamline Heliconia's daily business activities and support a range of service improvements such as same-day shipping on orders.

Sandiford comes to Heliconia with over ten years of experience as a professional writer, editor and project manager, and has contributed to a wide range of Heliconia titles on a freelance basis over the last two years. Most recently Communications Manager for three years at a successful startup in Ottawa, Sandiford was previously the Managing Editor for the Globalization and Autonomy Compendium at McMaster University.

Publishing high-quality instructional books and DVDs continues to be the cornerstone of Heliconia's success. "With a growing number of titles and ever-increasing demand, we were ready to bring in-house the skills and experience that Rebecca and Tamara offer," says Ken Whiting, President of The Heliconia Press. "By expanding our team we are increasing our capacity to produce, while building upon the commitment to quality that has always distinguished Heliconia products from the competition."
