Self-Publisher Celebrates the Holiday Season by Giving Authors the Chance to Win a Free $1000 Publishing Package

Writer’s Digest contest winners, the Education and Literary Foundation, and now all authors worldwide benefit during the season of giving at Outskirts Press, Inc.

Denver, CO, December 14, 2007 --( December is the season of giving. In addition to making large cash donations every Christmas to various charities like the Education and Literacy Foundation, Outskirts Press makes a special effort to help authors reach their dreams of publication. For the third year in a row, Outskirts Press has donated a free Diamond publishing package (valued at $999) to the Writer’s Digest Writing Competition winner.

And now, Outskirts Press is giving away another free publishing package. All writers are eligible to win. “We have published the Writer’s Digest Writing Competition collection for years,” states President and CEO Brent Sampson. “Giving the winner a free publishing package has been an annual tradition. Now, we are extending that opportunity to all writers worldwide, even if they haven’t won a writing contest.”

Authors who pay for their publishing package with Outskirts Press before New Year’s Day are automatically eligible to win a cash prize equivalent to the cost of the package they selected, ranging from $199 - $999. Paid packages received through the month of December are entered into the random drawing. One winner will be selected. That winning author is notified after the publication of their book and will receive a first-class check for the full amount of their package. “There are many good reasons to publish with Outskirts Press,” continues Sampson, “and the chance to win a free publishing package is another one. It will make for a very happy New Year for one lucky author in 2008.”
