Discovery Initiatives Announces New Galapagos Volcanoes and Wildlife Island Tour

Discovery Initiatives announces new Galapagos Volcanoes and Wildlife Island Tour.

Cirencester, United Kingdom, January 06, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Discovery Initiatives (http://www.discoveryinitiatives.co.uk) has announced the launch of a new tour around the Galapagos Islands and volcanoes.

The tour, that can be seen here: http://www.discoveryinitiatives.co.uk/discover/trip/Ecuador_And_Galapagos/Galapagos_
Volcanoes-and-Wildlife_island_tour, is aimed at offering a quality insight into the islands themselves, taking people beyond the standardised ‘run of the mill’ tours. The tour combines more remote island visits with fascinating land based hikes in the most volcanically active of the islands, that of Isabela, with its last eruption in October 2005. On Isabela visitors will be guided by an expert who has dedicated himself to this natural paradise and its volcanology. Visitors will also have access to the Tortoise research, hike up to the famous Sierra Negra volcano with the second largest caldera in the world, and see some of the last remaining wild tortoises on Isabela.

This 14 day tour and cruise departs on the 27th April with prices from £3,995 per person from the UK.

Unique features of this tour include: a small group of like-minded travellers interested in both land and sea wildlife and volcanic geology; a pioneering trip to this extraordinary archipelago combining the advantages of both land and sea based exploration; a unique opportunity to spend time on the largest and most volcanically active of the Galapagos Islands, with expert geological guide; a privileged ‘Back stage’ tour of the Charles Darwin Research.
