Thermal Technologies Corporation and Drexan Corporation Announce Strategic Partnership

Salt Lake City, UT, January 08, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Thermal Technologies Corporation, a Utah-based company focused on designing and manufacturing roof deicing products, announced today a key distribution and installation alliance with Drexan™ HeatTracer, a division of Drexan Corporation located in British Columbia, Canada and formed via a partnership with Fujikura Ltd., a well-known Japanese conglomerate.

The alliance permits Drexan™ HeatTracer, the premier heating cable manufacturer in the industrial and commercial markets, to exclusively distribute throughout Canada the patent-pending roof deicing products designed and manufactured by Thermal Technologies. For its part, Thermal Technologies will use only Drexan™ HeatTracer’s self-regulating heating cable products in its various roof deicing products.

“This collaboration with Drexan™ HeatTracer creates an extraordinary synergy that maximizes the inherent technological advantages of Thermal Technologies’ Tpanel and Tzone roof deicing products and helps to bring our companies’ combined technologies into the marketplace," said Michael Gurr, President and CEO of Thermal Technologies. "We are truly excited to work with Drexan™ HeatTracer. By joining forces, our companies are responding to the keen interest in the architectural and roofing industries to creatively and efficiently solve the problem of roof damage caused by ice dams and trapped water."

The collaboration with Thermal Technologies represents Drexan™ HeatTracer’s continued commitment to provide the residential, commercial, and industrial communities with best-in-class solutions that address the problems associated with cold winters. "We have seen a significant increase in the demand for our self-regulating heat-tracing cable product lines across all fronts,” noted Steve Makar, President of Drexan™ HeatTracer. "This alliance between our two companies unites the efficiency and accuracy of Drexan™ HeatTracer’s heating-cable technology with Thermal Technologies’ truly innovative roof deicing products. Together, our technologies increase the effectiveness, overall performance, and economy of the combined system.” The result, according to Mr. Makar, are elegant roof deicing products having superior energy efficiency with appropriate fire safety ratings that are easy to install and are protected by Thermal Technologies’ ten year warranty.

Thermal Technologies and Drexan™ HeatTracer will co-market Thermal Technologies’ Tpanel and Tzone roof deicing products at industry trade shows and other events and through direct sales presentations. Thermal Technologies will support these marketing efforts with installer training and certification programs.
