)-- Mars National Bank is again promoting the Federal Home Loan Bank Pittsburgh’s (FHLBank) program for first time homebuyers called “First Front Door.” The program supports first time homebuyers through down payment and closing cost assistance.
Through First Front Door (FFD), FHLBank members, such as Mars National Bank, can open the door for first-time homebuyers. A FFD grant matches the qualified homebuyer’s contribution 3-to-1. That means for every $1 of contribution the homebuyer makes to costs, FHLBank will provide $3 in grant assistance, up to a maximum of $5,000.
“Our team loves helping first time homebuyers and educating them on the complexities of the home buying and financing process,” said Shawn R. Proper, Mars National Bank Senior Vice President, Mortgage and Consumer Lending. “This is a terrific program to help first time homebuyers with costs associated with a mortgage.”
FHLBank Pittsburgh provides readily available low-cost funding and opportunities for affordable housing and community development to 302 member financial institutions in Delaware, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. It ensures the availability of funds for housing and enhances the quality of the communities it serves.
Mars National Bank is one true community bank focused on combining the products and technology that its customers need while maintaining its focus on long-term customer relationships.
