Vancouver, Canada, January 17, 2008 --(PR.com)-- More flights, more time slots, more planes, more technology… It all points to more convenience for passengers looking to fly Vancouver and the Gulf Islands.

Saltspring Air is a seaplane service based on Salt Spring Island and is known as "The Islanders Airline". Saltspring Air's roots started in 1985 when owner St. Clair McColl moved to the Island. By 2003 the airline was well under way providing charter & scheduled flights to and from the Gulf Islands.

The owner St. Clair McColl stated that "The addition of more direct scheduled flights every day has been tailored to provide more convenience to our passengers. We (Salt Spring Air) are also working on other ways to ensure we continue to offer the level of service that our loyal island customers deserve."

The companies new offering include frequent flyer discount tickets, expanded charter services and more convenient departure times. Saltspring air is also looking into the advantages of offering on line booking for flights. They are also bringing another de Havilland DHC-2 Mk-I Beaver on line in time for increased spring traffic.

Salt Spring Air operates from offices in Grace Point Square, Ganges, Salt Spring Island, with arrivals and departure facilities in Vancouver and Maple Bay. This looks like the little airline from the little island is getting bigger.
