Volunteers Use Doobert.com to Transport Dog from Florida to California

On July 16, volunteers transported rescue dog Jade from Florida to California to save her from death row.

Beverly Hills, CA, July 26, 2016 --(PR.com)-- On July 16, volunteers transported rescue dog Jade from Florida to California to save her from death row.

Mayte’s Rescue in California, founded by dancer and actress Mayte Garcia, agreed to take in the former stray. Using the Doobert.com software, 27 volunteers across the country teamed up to drive Jade from Miami-Dade County, FL to Beverly Hills, CA.

Miami-Dade County Animal Shelter took in Jade after being abandoned and severely malnourished. She lost several teeth and contracted a skin condition as a stray.

The R.A.C.E. transport team worked to set up volunteers to drive Jade the almost 3,000 miles to her new rescue. This group functions with the aid of Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation Foundation pet charity fund.

Volunteers use the custom-built software on Doobert.com to save animals by volunteering, fostering, and/or transporting animals. This software helps solve the most difficult aspect of coordinating animal rescues: transportation. With Doobert.com, animal lovers around the country come together to bring animals to their forever homes.

Jade now is at Mayte’s Rescue waiting for her new family. Volunteers who worked with her describe her as incredibly sweet, lovable, and playful.

Jade is up for adoption and is looking for her new family. If you are interested in adopting Jade, you can contact Matye’s Rescue, maytesrescue.com and to learn more about R.A.C.E. transport you can visit facebook.com/RACE4Ran.
