California Lists "Edward Marshall" as Official GOP Write-in Presidential Candidate

In listing Edward Marshall as an official write-in candidate in the February 5th California GOP presidential primary, the State has made clear that votes will be counted only if the exact name "Edward Marshall" is written in. Candidate Marshall invites all of you GOP voters to check out his website MarshallYourVotes.org and then write in "Edward Marshall" when you vote.

Los Angeles, CA, January 25, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Edward Marshall, an outsider GOP candidate for president, and a resident of Los Angeles, is an official write-in candidate in the February 5th California GOP presidential primary. He is a physician who, with his only wife of 44 years and all three grown children, also runs a successful home staging company that has grown rapidly with no debt. "Imagine what I can do for our nation's budget deficits," Marshall says.

California will count all write-in votes for Marshall as long as the name "Edward Marshall" is written on the ballots by the voters. Marshall hopes that when voters check out his unique stands on his campaign website at MarshallYourVotes.org, voters will decide that he is the candidate voters have been hoping for who stands out from the pack of professional politicians. Mixed results in early primaries indicate that voters have not yet identified that candidate, Marshall says, and he adds, "The media ought to cover my campaign so that voters can make an informed decision. I'm not accepting campaign contributions, and the media should check out both me and the story of my unprecedented campaign."

If that doesn't happen by Super Tuesday, his campaign will be over, says Marshall, but he will leave his website up so that people can still get behind his unique, problem-solving stands that actually save taxpayer dollars at the same time that problems are solved.

Marshall wants the first $50,000 of personal income of all Americans to be exempt from federal income tax, and he wants that exemption increased by $12,500 each year. "This will help Americans working hard to make ends meet, will increase their consumer power, and help the American economy more than anything else the government can do. And, it won't cost the billions that government bureaucratic programs cost that aim to help, but only cost taxpayers without solving problems," Marshall says.

Marshall also has a plan for shortening the Iraq War, with fewer casualties, lower cost and ultimate success, spelled out on his website, "and much more that voters ought to check out at MarshallYourVotes.org", the write-in candidate says.

Marshall asks voters to write-in "Edward Marshall" on their GOP primary ballots in all states, especially on Super Tuesday. "Not really that happy with those professional politician candidates? Here's your chance to make a valid statement!" concludes Marshall.
