Write-In GOP Presidential Candidate Edward Marshall Lists Reasons for Voters to Choose Him Over McCain, Romney, Huckabee and Giuliani

Edward Marshall, a write-in, outsider candidate for the GOP presidential nomination, acknowledges the inconvenience for voters to write in "Edward Marshall" on their ballots. Therefore, he is fulfilling what he sees as his obligation to tell GOP primary voters what his advantages are over McCain, Romney, Huckabee and Giuliani. Marshall says that "none of these have stood out with voters so far, and it's clear that people are still hoping for someone better to enthusiastically support."

Los Angeles, CA, January 26, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Edward Marshall, a write-in, outsider GOP candidate for President, is announcing that he acknowledges the inconvenience for voters to write in "Edward Marshall" on their Republican primary ballots in the various states.

Marshall, in his maverick campaign style, has not accepted campaign contributions, and has tried to reach voters via his website, MarshallYourVotes.org, and by attempting to get media coverage of his campaign. He is a Californian, a physician and head of his successful and growing family business.

"I want to fulfill my obligation to tell voters what my advantages are over the better known GOP candidates: McCain, Romney, Huckabee and Giuliani. I need to let voters know why it's worth bothering to write in 'Edward Marshall' on their Republican primary ballots," says Marshall. "Obviously, the primaries and caucuses so far show that none of the 'leading' candidates has exactly wowed the voters. It's clear that GOP voters would still like to find a candidate who really stands out from the pack. Naturally, I hope they will see me as that candidate before it's too late," Marshall says, pointing out that Super Tuesday
is as far as his campaign can go without reasonable media coverage.

Marshall versus McCain: "I want to secure our southern border promptly, and make it mandatory for each alien here illegally to register, pay a fine for illegal entry, and apply for the right to stay here if they have no criminal record, without any automatic assurance of being allowed to stay nor a path to citizenship. No economic rights or benefits should be available to them otherwise. I oppose the McCain-Feingold Act because it virtually requires political candidates to be rich in order to get elected."

Marshall versus Romney: "A non-profit, community based, mainly volunteer organization should offer health care plans that lower costs, not the government or the insurance companies through mandatory bureaucratic and tax-increasing programs."

Marshall versus Huckabee: "Government should not be in charge of every life-style decision made by individual Americans; and, claiming to be for lower taxes and balanced budgets should be easy to confirm by reviewing that candidate's record."

Marshall versus Giuliani: "I've been married once, for over 44 years, and work with all of our grown children in our family business. I am not for amnesty for illegal aliens."

And, in general, adds Marshall, "I'm the only candidate who wants the first $50,000 of personal income to be exempt from federal income tax, and that amount should be increased by $12,500 each year. I'm also the only candidate with a plan that would shorten the Iraq War, reduce bloodshed and costs, and help us bring home our troops sooner with a successful outcome.
